Dr Ammar completed his undergraduate medical studies at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Upon graduation in 2014 he was awarded the prestigious IUMC Comerford Medal, a gold medal award for the top placed international student conferred by the Irish Universities and Medical Schools Consortium (IUMC).
Within the local healthcare system, he had undergone rotations in several departments of Changi General Hospital and Singapore General Hospital. He was formerly a SingHealth internal medicine resident who accrued invaluable experience in multiple specialties including cardiology, neurology, general internal medicine, renal medicine and geriatrics.
Dr Ammar earned his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from the National University of Singapore in 2022 and received his accreditation as a Family Physician in the following year.
He believes in patient empowerment and constantly strives for better care and treatment for his patients.
