FAQ

Frequently asked questions about scheduling appointments at our clinic.

Just head down to a OneCare Clinic at any time during our operating hours, and you’ll be able to complete your AIA Vitality checkup then! You do not need to make an appointment for this.

Do note that Mondays tend to be quite busy, and some waiting time can be expected. Where possible, we advise to avoid Mondays for your Vitality checkup, for your convenience. Just bring your AIA Vitality card and your NRIC/photo ID for registration.

The AIA Vitality checkup includes a blood pressure check, height and weight measurements, and blood tests for glucose and cholesterol profiles. You will need to be fasted for 8 hours prior to your appointment. No food or drinks (including coffee/tea) should be consumed. Sips of water are fine.

In addition, AIA Vitality members can choose from our three comprehensive health screening packages at preferential rates and more details can be found here.

Our clinics open from 8am, and you will need to be fasted for at least 8 hours. No food or drink (including tea or coffee) should be consumed from midnight prior to your appointment. You should arrive no later than 10am so that your lab tests can be transported safely to the central lab.

The packages includes urine and stool analysis. You may pick up your sample bottles at any of the OneCare clinics at your convenience, and bring the samples along with you for your appointment. Alternatively, you can collect the bottles during your appointment itself and bring the samples back when you have them.

Ultrasound scans and treadmill ECG tests can be added to our health screening packages. You may find out if these are applicable to you by discussing it with your doctor during your health screening appointment. These are done at our Raffles Place branch, and any OneCare clinic will be able arrange these appointments for you.

We offer a range of reasonably-priced Health Screening Packages to suit most health profiles, coupled with available add-ons to address any other specific health concerns you might have. Our health screening packages are available at all clinics, and more details can be found at our website here.

The rapid test is no longer available at our clinics. The HIV test, performed by the lab, remains available at all branches. No appointment or preparation is required, and results are expected in 2-3 working days.

The HPV vaccines available at all OneCare clinics are:

  • Cervarix
  • Gardasil-9*

A total of 3 injections, given over 6 months, are needed for the full vaccination schedule for both types. They are both approved for Medisave use in female patients aged 9-26.

*Gardasil-9 is available by pre-booking. This is also a total of 3 injections given over 6 months.

If you are keen on taking the HPV vaccine, please contact your preferred OneCare Clinic to check the availability of stock. A list of OneCare clinic locations can be found here.

The microsuction is available at our Yishun location with Dr Lee Yanqing. Rates differ based on severity of ear wax impaction and whether one or both sides are needed to be treated, but generally run about $100 onwards including consultation. Our other locations also offer treatment for ear wax, using ear wax softening drops or ear syringing methods. A doctor will be able to suggest the most suitable ear wax removal method for you through a medical examination.

There are several different treatment options for ear wax removal. Your doctor can suggest the best option for you by conducting a medical examination.

These might include:
– Ear drops (to help dissolve wax)
– Ear syringing (to remove softened wax)
– Ear microsuction

Ear drops and ear syringing is available at all OneCare locations. Our locations and opening hours can be found at https://www.onecaremedical.com.sg/locations.

The microsuction is available at our Yishun clinic with Dr Lee Yanqing. Rates differ based on severity of ear wax impaction and whether one or both sides are needed to be treated, but is generally a minimum of $100 (before GST) including consultation fees.

The vaccine required for pilgrammage is the meningococcal vaccine.

This vaccine is only available by pre-order, and it generally takes 2-3 working days for our clinic to receive the vaccine after the order has been confirmed.

We require pre-payment in order to confirm the order. This costs $140 (excluding GST and consultation) and generally affords protection for 5 years.

Pre-order is available by registering at any OneCare clinic, and our locations/opening hours are available at https://www.onecaremedical.com.sg/locations.

Please submit an enquiry on this page, and we will get back to you shortly!

We do not have any job shadowing opportunities at present.

Our clinics generally close registration 15 minutes before closing time. This is also indicated on our website and on our clinic signage, to avoid any misunderstanding. This is so that our team can attend to the remaining patients in the queue in time for clinic closing procedures. During busy times, the clinics may close registration slightly earlier than this, though this is kept to a minimum in order to prevent any inconvenience to our patients.

We understand your frustration, both in not being able to receive medical care and in the manner this might have been communicated. Our staff are also trained to screen for any medical emergencies and to direct any patients to appropriate care facilities.

No, we do not offer Lasting Power of Attorneys (LPAs) certificate issuance services at all OneCare Clinics.

Most universities would have their own health requirements specific to the course of study. We can provide checkups based on requirements set out by the university. Please email us at helpdesk@onecaremedical.com.sg for more information.
