Dr Deepa graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2010. She completed a two-year stint in paediatric residency where she gained extensive experience caring for neonates, infants, and children.
She subsequently moved on to pursue Family Medicine and spent more than a decade working in the polyclinics. At the polyclinics, she developed broad expertise across various aspects of Family Medicine including the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, and thyroid disorders. She obtained her Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2018 and also played an active role in running child and women’s health clinics at the polyclinics.
Her approach to care is holistic and patient-centered, encompassing both paediatric and adult medicine. Her strong interest in paediatric care is shaped by her formal training during her residency and personal experience as a mother of three while her extensive experience in Family Medicine allows her to support adults through preventive care and long-term chronic disease management.
