Dr Wong Yip Fong graduated from Christian Medical College Vellore, India in 2002. She has had extensive experience in both public and private healthcare institutions on both sides of the Causeway ( ie in both Malaysia and Singapore). During her years of institutional practice, she gained a wealth of experience in various specialties namely general internal medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, general surgery, paediatrics, orthopaedic surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology.
She had previously spent 4 years focusing on diabetes management and attained the Graduate Diploma in Diabetes with distinction from the University of Leicester in 2015.
She has a special interest in chronic disease management, especially in diabetes mellitus. She believes strongly in patient education as this will empower them to take charge of their chronic illnesses and strive for the best quality of life possible.
Dr Wong joined the OneCare team in 2020.
She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Malay and Cantonese.
